Aaron S. Reed

Aaron practices in the field of intellectual property prosecution and counseling. His practice is primarily focused on procurement of patents and trademarks in both the United States and abroad. This includes drafting and prosecuting utility and design patent applications in a number of diverse technology fields including telecommunications technologies, software, Internet search, healthcare, and metal alloys as well as mechanical components for furniture, toys, tools, and manufacturing. Aaron also provides analysis of patentability, patent infringement, patent validity, and trademark searches and opinions for clients interested in pursuing a patent or trademark or enforcement thereof.

Aaron earned his bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering, magna cum laude, from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 2001 and his law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 2005. Prior to entering the practice of law, Aaron worked as a metallurgical engineer for Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies in Kansas City, Missouri in development and characterization of solder alloys and related manufacturing issues. He was also a project manager for Rage Corporation in Columbus, Ohio, a plastics injection molding company, where he implemented projects directed to increasing production efficiency and productivity through installation and operation of robotics, packaging equipment, and injection molding machines.

Aaron is admitted to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office and is a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bars.
